Join us for Portraits Made Possible: Attaining A Likeness. All ages and all levels of experience are welcome. At this session, two sitters are modeling for us. Our focus will be on drawing versus other mediums. In drawing there is nowhere to hide. Seeing two faces side by side gives us a chance to discuss and note differences of character. Attaining a likeness by contrast, how fun!

Auguste Haboush is a Real Time Sketch Artist, Anatomy and Life Drawing instructor for over 30 years. He spent 20 years in animation, layout, and scenic painting. His education began as an Illustration major at Art Center Pasadena, followed by extensive trips throughout Europe and other parts of the world to study independently. He has spent many years sculpting the human figure in order to fully understand anatomy and form more fully. He taught full-time at Art Center College of Design Pasadena for eight years and at the Academy of Art University San Francisco for thirteen years. He has hosted drawing workshops at Dream Works, Disney TV, and many other private venues.

This session includes drawing experiments and exercises to enhance the way we approach capturing a likeness. Handouts on facial features and the cranium mass will be provided, along with outstanding examples from the old masters to inspire and demonstrate how they approached drawing portraits. There will be a 12-person cap to allow more one on one attention and a closeness to our models.
