Sunday, July 14, 2019 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Event Description:

The challenges of managing pests in the hive can be overwhelming - from mites to yellow jackets to beetles and more, it can be difficult to know the specific solutions that keep your bees healthy. The first step in integrated pest management is to understand the life cycle and habits of pests and what steps you can take to avoid their impact on your bees.
Working with experts Bonnie + Gary Morse, will take a sober approach to discussing the risks and benefits of the various tools and techniques available to manage common pests and diseases in your hive, including a discussion of the 'Darwinian' management' concept as suggested by Thomas Seely.
