Point Reyes Youth Bird-A-Thon for ages 10-18

Date:
Saturday, May 20, 2017 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Event Description:

Grab your brood and join the Environmental Action Committee and Sonoma Birding for the Point Reyes Youth Bird-A-Thon in West Marin for youth ages 10-18.

Point Reyes is a unique area for birders of all ages, which is located along the coastal Pacific Flyway where over 54% of all North American birds have been sighted and recorded.  Our friends at Sonoma Birding will teach the group how to use binoculars, identify birds by sight and sound as we explore three locations around Point Reyes Station, including the Giacomini Wetlands. Some driving required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy afterwards, or continue out to the beach for more family fun. Meet at the EAC Office (65 Third Street, Suite #14, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956).
