West Marin Climate Action teams up with the Point Reyes Library to host a discussion of the book Tiny Gardens Everywhere, by environmental historian Kate Brown. This fascinating book tells the story of gardeners in cities and suburbs who are nurturing health, hope, and community by reclaiming lost commons, transforming vacant lots into vibrant plots, turning waste into compost, and more.

You’ll learn about communities where food gardening has been interwoven with issues of racial and socio-economic justice, access to housing, political resistance, sustainability, and community resilience.

The Point Reyes Library has copies to loan (ask at the circulation desk); Point Reyes Books also has the book in stock.
